Greetings from Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai!!
Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming an important part in technology and knowledge. Wherever we see, we find people discussing about machines with intelligence which improve our lives. In near future we may be interacting with AI for our daily works as well. Hence, it is important to know about it, understand the subject and start preparing for tomorrow.

To give the exposure to the students on this very important topic, Nehru Science Centre is happy to announce a workshop on *‘Artificial Intelligence’*

● Standard 6 to 10

● Internet with a stable connection
● laptop with working microphone and webcam
● computer Mouse- if possible (recommended)
● Gmail account

*Duration*: 8 sessions – Twice a week (Thursday and Friday), 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm

*Dates:* August 2020 - 20, 21, 27,28, September 2020 -  3, 4, 10,11

*Registration charges:* Rs. 1000/- per student. This includes charges for 8 sessions & Innovation Hub membership till December 2020. (If lockdown continues further, there will be one online session monthly in October, November and December on every 3rd Friday of the month from 4.30 to 5.30 pm for developing thinking skills. If centre opens during the period, the students can come and utilise Innovation Hub facilities on Saturdays)

● Block Programming (with M-block)
Learn the fundamentals of block programming and data prediction models.
● Image Recognition:
Make a machine that can guess the age and gender of a person by looking at his or her image.
● Speech Processing:
Make a voice recognition machine that can talk to you.
● Interactive Programs:
Create interesting programs and games with AI blocks like a Rock-Paper-Scissors game.
● Social Applications:
Write socially relevant programs such as a currency detector for the visually impaired or a waste segregation helper.
