Exhibition on International Day of Yoga

Dear All,
Greetings from Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai

The COVID global pandemic has rekindled significance of age-old ancient Indian practise of Yoga, which focuses on breathing, flexibility and strength to boost mental and physical well-being. International Yoga Day will help in accentuating the usefulness of Yoga for global health and fitness, which has gained a new paradigm in the current COVID situation.

Millions across the world practise Yoga in its different forms and Yoga has now become a multibillion-dollar industry. Yet, few people are cognizant of its origins and its relative importance to Indian culture and identity. The history of Yoga is evidenced in art, architecture, culture and rich spiritual and philosophical ways that is inextricably linked to India, the traditions of which have traversed the Indian subcontinent over thousands of years.
